Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 27, 2026

Homebar is an iPhone app by Kizutora (“we”). It has no accounts and no ads. Your shelf, your answers and your recipes stay on your iPhone. The app sends a few anonymous usage counts, which you can turn off, and it checks your subscription through Apple and RevenueCat.

What stays on your iPhone

The bottles and ingredients on your shelf, the answers you give during setup (taste, occasion, level), your favorites, the recipes you write, your streak and your app settings are stored only on your device. We never receive them. Deleting Homebar deletes them.

Anonymous usage analytics

Homebar sends a small set of events that describe steps in the app: the app was opened, setup started, which setup screen was reached, setup finished, and the subscription screen was shown. Events never include your answers, ingredients or recipes.

Each event carries a random identifier created by the app, which is not linked to your name, email or Apple Account, plus technical details such as the app version, device model, iOS version, language and time zone. We have turned off the feature that estimates a location from your IP address.

We use these counts only to see where people get stuck and to improve the app. They are not used for advertising, not sold, and not combined with data from other companies. Analytics is processed by PostHog on servers in the European Union.

Analytics is on by default. You can turn it off at any time in Homebar under Settings → Analytics. From then on the app sends no analytics at all.

Subscriptions

Purchases are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details. Homebar uses RevenueCat to know whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives an anonymous ID created by the app, your purchase and subscription details from the App Store (product, price, dates, trial status) and technical details such as the device model, iOS version and app version.

You can cancel or manage your subscription in Homebar under Settings → Subscription, or in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

Notifications

The daily reminder is scheduled on your iPhone. No push server is involved, and no notification token leaves your device. You can turn reminders off in Homebar Settings or in iOS Settings.

Sharing

When you share a recipe, Homebar prepares the text and an image on your device and passes them to the iOS share sheet. What happens next depends on the app you choose.

No tracking

Homebar does not track you across apps and websites owned by other companies, does not use the advertising identifier, and shows no ads.

Service providers

PostHog and RevenueCat act as our service providers. They process the data described above only to provide their service to us, and they are required to protect it at least as well as this policy does. We do not share your data with anyone else, except where the law requires it.

Keeping and deleting data

Data on your iPhone stays until you remove it in the app or delete the app. Analytics events are kept only as long as they help us understand how the app is used. Subscription records are kept as long as needed to provide the subscription and to meet legal and accounting obligations.

To stop analytics, turn it off in Settings. To ask us to delete data or to ask what we hold, email us at the address below. Because analytics is not linked to your name, email or Apple Account, we may need details from you to find your records.

Children

Homebar is about alcoholic drinks and is meant for adults of legal drinking age. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to object to how it is used. Email us and we will respond.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
